1 You must allow sufficient time when booking your taxi to take into account check-in times required by your airline and delays due to traffic conditions. Waverley Taxis shall not be responsible for any delay caused by your failure to allow enough time to reach your destination or if the passengers are not ready for collection at the booked time.

2 You must order an appropriately sized car for the number of passengers and baggage. Waverley Taxis cannot guarantee to carry excessive amounts of luggage. Please note that a child, no matter what age, counts as a passenger.

3 All bookings are to be made directly with Waverley Taxis by phone or email. Please do not make reservations with drivers, this can lead to errors being made, Waverley Taxis will not be held liable for any errors or problems.

4 If you require a wheelchair, please specify this when booking.

Prices & Payment
1 Waverley Taxis will send you an email quote based on the information you have provided. Waverley Taxis may change the quote if there is a material change to the original itinerary, the number of passengers or the type or size of vehicle required.

2 All reservations include a free 10 minute wait. Next, Waverley Taxis will apply a fee accordingly.

3 Airport pick-up will include a [60] minute waiting period after the announced landing time and the cost of parking. Waverley Taxis will charge for waiting at its standard rates after the initial 60 minute period has expired (£5 every 15 minutes). Waverley Taxis will endeavour to check for flight delays before the driver leaves for the airport, but shall be under no obligation to do so (if your journey does however go into night rate hours there will be additional charges for the nightly rate).

4, Unexpected last-minute delays could also incur additional charges, it is the customer’s responsibility to notify Waverley Taxis of any flight delays, as information provided online is not always correct, and is the information we can use to instruct our drivers.

5 If you agree to the quote, you will receive a booking confirmation by email or SMS. Please check your booking confirmation carefully and inform Waverley Taxis promptly of any errors. Waverley Taxis will not be liable for any delays or costs incurred as a result of your failure to provide Waverley Taxis with accurate information.

6 All payments should be made within 14 days of the invoice.

7 If there are changes or variations, including additional mileage for travel other than actual travel, the customer will be charged surcharges under the price.

The Service
1 You are responsible for the behaviour of all passengers on board during the journey. You or the customer will be charged £100 to cover cleaning costs in the unlikely event of the vehicle being soiled by any passenger!

2 Eating, drinking and/or smoking in the cars is not permitted.

3 All children travelling during the journey should be retained in a manner appropriate to their age, weight and height. As far as possible, the child’s parents should provide and equip appropriate child seats. These sets can be kept by the operator for the return trip.

4 Waverley Taxis will not carry more passengers than its insurance or license allows.

If you require a cancellation, please contact Waverley Taxis as soon as possible. At least 24 hours advance notice is required If you wish to cancel a reservation without paying full fare.
If you do not cancel a reservation with 24 hours’ notice, a 50% will be taken from the original payment made and the rest will be refunded.

1 Waverley Taxis shall use all reasonable endeavours to get you to your destination on time, but shall not be liable for any loss due to delays caused by road or traffic conditions beyond its control on the journey. Under no circumstances shall Waverley Taxis be liable (in contract, tort or otherwise) for any loss of profits, business or for any indirect or consequential loss whatever.

2 Luggage is carried entirely at your risk.

3 Waverley Taxis shall be entitled to cancel all services and provide refunds in the event of a declared national emergency, riot, war, fuel shortage, extreme weather or terrorist attack, or other circumstances beyond its control. If the car breaks down during your journey Waverley Taxis will endeavour to arrange an alternative car to complete the journey as soon as practicable.

1 Waverley Taxis will refuse or terminate any booking with immediate effect if it places any driver or vehicle at risk of damage, violence or abuse by you or by any passenger in your party and we will ask all passengers to vacate the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. No refunds will be given if the journey is terminated part way through the hire.

2 A payment can be requested at any time of the journey, failure to make payment can result in termination immediately.

1 Waverley Taxis may change these terms and conditions at any time by publishing changes on-line. Please check these terms and conditions periodically to ensure you are aware of the changes. All existing bookings will be at the rate quoted or applicable rate in effect at the time of booking.
2 Waverley Taxis shall store, process and use all information regarding your personal details in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Conveying of children
UK law states that taxis are exempt from legislation relating to children travelling in a baby/child seat or booster. For Health and Safety reasons Waverley Taxis are unable to provide any form of child seat. If you require a child seat for your journey it would be the child’s parent/carrier’s responsibility to provide one and to fit the seat in the vehicle and to secure the child. If you are booking a return journey and have your own child seat, the driver who carries out your booking will store your child seat for the return journey, please note that the installation of the child seat must be carried out by you.
